Hi.
I'm a student at USF in Tampa and have a small veggie plot in our Botanical Gardens. I planted four cloves of garlic back before the holidays, maybe in November. The greens shot up fairly quickly. Considering the heat here and that the top half of the greens went brown I pulled them today. One is forming well into a bulb with discernable cloves and the poorest performer simply is a round ball which is interesting. They went in as a clove. It seems they might be on the way so I transplanted them into better light and more space so we'll see. The experience from experimenting and researching is just as delightful as eating the stuff! ;)
